The saddest coffee in the world... Le cafe le plus triste au monde... EL Cafe mas triste del mundo...

This morning a friend and co-worker was drinking a brand new coffee in a can, it was labeled DEEPRESSO.....
The OYAJI in charge of this sad new product wanted to combine the idea of the words "Deep" and "Espresso" in one single word... He failed miserably.... But hey! At least he made us laugh... I couldn't have my daily dose of caffeine in the morning, but I got a good laugh..... I wander who drinks that particular coffee?..... Deepresso, for frack's sake....
But it does make sense to be sold in Japan, you can have a shot every morning just to get in the mood before those depressing business meetings... (Even more depressing in freaking Japan...)
Or when Man goes to see a football game without telling his wife, then his team wins and he is euphoric! But to calm down and to dissimulate in front of his wife, the man shoots up a DEEPRESSO.....
By the way, Georgia Coffee is a subsidiary of the Coca Cola Company.... Couldn't they have paid an English speaker to advice them? Maybe the adviser was depressed... Or just wanted to have a good laugh at the Coca Cola company's expense....

Good Girl PUCCA flips

This is what happens to most people working in animation after a few years..... One day you wake up and suddenly, you just snap!
It makes you think: "Oh, What the hell....."

Change of air, take a Holiday. Changez d'air, prenez des vacances. Cambie de aire, tome vacaiones.

"Take your Plant to work" day. Jour de "Prenez votre plante au travail". Dia de "Traiga su planta al trabajo"

Today I brought CHLOE into the office, being one of them "Bring your child to work day"... Yes, in Japan there is that sort of events and activities...
At first she was not responsive, just sitting next to me loking at the computer screen.
But soon She made new friends!

Chloe, how life seems to shine for you!

Dr. Fish will clean your skin!!!

For 500 yens (4.5 dollars or 3.5 euros), you can submerge your feet into a fish tank where hundreds of little fish await happily to clean your feet. Originally from Turkey, its cientific name: "Gara Rufa Obtusa". They are called Dr. Fish in Japan.
Here is a picture I took of them giving me a close pedicure.....
They eat the impurities in your skin as well as the dead skin folicules. They are also good at treating Psoriasis, a pesky skin didease with not know treatment, except this little fish.
At first it tickles so mcuh making it hard to stay put. Then you get used to the tingling bites, by then you slowly realize that you are being eaten alive by the little bastards.....
And you had paid for it!
Read bout them here:

Adopting a little Plant. Adoptant une petite plante. Adoptando una Plantita.

Today I adopted (Bought from a Plant dealer at the sunday market) a little plant that I found in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo.
I am proud to present you, The beautiful "CHLOE"!!!

She is a bit timid. Doesn't talk much.....
I think it's because she's from another country.

I will post more pictures of Chole as she addapts her self to life in hectic and fast pased Tokyo.

And unlike the other plants I raised in the past (in Canada), I won't smoke CHLOE.
I Promise!

If you pay attention, You can be happy: Sunset in Tokyo, Tomber à Tokyo,  Atardecer en Tokyo.

Monday, September 18th 2006, 18:00.
Picture taken fat Roppongi Hills in Tokyo.
Today went for a walk around town and took this picture.

That afternoon as the Sun was setting the sky looked great!
The clouds turn bright orange giving the impression of bursting on fire!
And then the clouds began to turn purple.
At that moment I felt happy and wished that this perfect and peaceful moment could last forever, and then I remembered that when one really pays attention, life can be beautiful.

    "El Caminante" de Antonio Machado

    Caminante, son tus huellas
    el camino y nada más;
    Caminante, no hay camino,
    se hace camino al andar.
Al andar se hace el camino,
y al volver la vista atrás
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.
    Caminante no hay camino
    sino estelas en la mar

    HOW TIME FLIES!!!

    How Times Flies!

For me times passes like in those sand clocks, but instead of sand falling down wine does..... Damn it, times really flies by..... Doesn't it?

¿no?

    BACK TO LIVING LIFE!

Today I am getting ready to "go back to school"..... Back to work actually.......
After almost 4 month of medical leave, I return to work on Septembe 1st.

On mid May I had an accident and was taken to the ER, I was in a coma for 4 days and then kept in the hospital for another 3 months or so, including physical rehab and daily sponge baths by a number of very cute nurses....
I feel really lucky for surviving the accident, and more so that I did not breake my neck, spine or hip.
Thanks to my guardian angels and God!
And the unconditinnal support and love from my family, my girlfriend and many friends.

I was released on July 28th. I'm gonna miss the sponge baths......
Today I feel like a little boy before his first day back to school: So I'm a bit nervous, thinking on what to wear for my first day, Should I cut my hair? Keep the beard? Which Suit to wear? etc, etc, etc. Which glasses to wear.... ( I do have several frames which I change depending on my outfit and time of year...)
    Cheers

    About "Al Borde"

"Al Borde" is the title of my 4 panel comic strip. It's spanish for "On the edge".
The comic strip tells the story of a man standing in a cornice on the verge of committing suicide. He contemplates life when is about to finish and oviously, finds that in life many things remain exceeding.
I started this commic strip in late 2004 and it is published in "Revista Wakaranai", a spanish language magazine edited and publish in Tokyo-Japan.
